A Walk Around the Lake
It was a great week writing! Thanks for the prayers. I was able to finish my first draft of my book on Thursday. Eleven chapters written, and now the editing process begins. I was surprised that I was able to finish it, but once I started the words and structure came together. It helps that I have written in my journal almost daily for the past six years. It was very helpful to read back and remind myself of past experiences and thoughts. One of the things I realized as I went back and looked at my past was how much my life was a non-stop race. I worked too many hours and was constantly striving to move to the next challenge in my life. While we have been intentional at taking vacations and traveling to many fabulous destinations around the world, we also missed slowing down during our normal weeks and enjoying life around us.
